The group noted that coinciding with the migration of mission-critical applications to the Eclipsys Technology Solutions Center in New Jersey, NewYork-Presbyterian also upgraded to the latest version of the Sunrise Clinical Manager suite of solutions in use at the Hospital's five major medical centers.
"Electing to have a portion of our technology infrastructure hosted offsite is cost effective and removes the burden of day-to-day maintenance. This allows us to focus on making improvements to applications that help our clinicians deliver high quality patient care," said Aurelia G. Boyer, senior vice president and chief information officer, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. "Eclipsys has made this migration seamless and cost-effective."
"In the rapidly changing healthcare technology market, maintaining an up-to-date IT infrastructure is difficult on a day-to-day basis, let alone when a hospital or health system endeavors to enhance current system functionality," said John McAuley, Eclipsys' senior vice president, Outsourcing and Support. "The great challenge in finding experienced and knowledgeable IT resources to assure system availability makes Eclipsys remote hosting services an attractive option. We provide the experience and scale to help our clients accelerate the value from their investment in technology with a predictable price and a track record of positive outcomes."
Eclipsys is a provider of integrated clinical, revenue cycle and performance management software, clinical content and professional services.
