International Graphics Names New CEO

Jul 03, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- ATPL | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- International Graphics, a provider of tapes and films for the sign, screen and digital printing industries, announced that Bud Philbrook, an executive with deep experience in the specialty films and packaging sectors, has been appointed the company's new President and CEO.

He was most recently President and CEO of Atlantis Plastics, after serving as President, Films Business; President of Operations; and President and Chief Operating Officer of the company.

"IGI, the parent of R Tape and Custom Extrusion Technologies, is an outstanding company and a provider of the specialty tapes and films world. I am excited and honored to join the organization," said Philbrook. "I look forward to working closely with our employees and supplier partners to deliver the highest quality and value to our customers and take our company to the next level."

Philbrook comes to IGI with over 30 years of industrial experience that includes several senior leadership positions with domestic and international, public and privately-held companies. They include Plassein International, where he was President, CEO and Director; Huhtamaki Packaging Worldwide, where he was Group VP, Consumer Packaging, Americas; and Van Leer Flexibles, where he served as President.
