India's Economic Times conducted its annual brand equity survey last month on 300 brands from different categories.
LG Electronics took 20th place, which was the highest rank among consumer electronics brands, above competitors Sony and Philips.
The LG brand even came above globally well-known brands such as Pepsi and Coca Cola.
As of June, LG Electronics held the world's largest market share in all the product categories of televisions, DVD players, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and microwave ovens.
