The TradingMarkets/Playboy 2006 Stock Picking Contest has come to an end and the winner is...Deanna Brooks. As a whole, Deanna's portfolio was up 43.43% in 2006, and all of her stock picks notched double-digit returns. Deanna's best performing stocks were Yamana Gold (AUY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) +99.39%, Petrobras (PBR | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) +44.51% and Hauppage Digital (HAUP | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating) +43.98%.

Deanna's 43.43% return for 2006 was good enough to beat all but five out of 9734 U.S. stock mutual funds, placing her performance in the top 1%, according to Morningstar.com. The group average for all 9734 U.S. stock mutual funds was 12.88% and the S&P 500 2006 return was 13.62%.

Courtney Culkin, the leader at the end of Q3, was the runner-up with a return of 32.84% and Amy Sue Cooper, who led at the end of Q1 and Q2, finished in third place with a 28.19% return. As a group, the average return for all ten Playboy models was 8.56%, with four out of the ten beating the S&P 500 and five out of the ten beating the average of all U.S. stock mutual funds.

TradingMarkets.com is donating $50,000 to Deanna Brooks' chosen charity, Children of the Night. TradingMarkets would like to congratulate Deanna and thank Playboy Enterprises, along with all of the contestants for taking part in the contest and selecting such wonderful charities.
