TradingMarkets 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Friday (ANF, CSCO, MAR, PEP, FSLR, FCX, S)

A second day of selling has left both the ^QQQQ^ and the ^SPY^ in neutral territory ahead of trading on Friday. Selling was stronger in emerging markets (see the ^EEM^), with markets like Russia (see the ^RSX^) off more than 1%.

Stocks from recent 7 Stocks columns that continue to pull back toward levels from which they have historically made short term gains include ^T^ and ^EXPD^. Both stocks closed lower for a second consecutive trading day on Thursday.

Here are 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Friday.

Shares of retailer ^ANF^ were among the day’s biggest gainers in the S&P 500. ANF closed higher by nearly 9% on Thursday as the stock’s rally from near oversold territory continued for a fourth day.

^CSCO^ (below) continued to climb deeper into overbought territory below the 200-day moving average on Thursday.

Pulling back toward oversold territory above the 200-day moving average on Thursday were both ^MAR^, off more than 5%, and ^PEP^ (below), which closed at its lowest levels in more than a week.

Rebounding by more than 1% on Thursday were shares of ^FSLR^. First Solar closed in oversold territory on Wednesday, having closed down for four out of the previous five trading days.

Profit-taking in the metals sector encouraged selling in materials stocks like ^FCX^, which lost more than 2%.

Closing lower for a second session on Thursday, shares of ^S^ pulled back by nearly 2%.
