Markets Hurting After Poor Productivity Numbers
Major indices take a hit for
the day; Nas down over 1% while S&P and Dow close behind.
Poor productivity numbers and weak earnings from Tyco
lead to a slide across the major markets, despite positive retailer sales
results.
Crude oil futures closed lower today, as yesterday’s
report of a rise in inventories continued to weigh down prices, and the IAEA
adjourned without making a decision about whether to report Iran to the UN
Security Council.
