EMC Puts Soar; Nasdaq Tanks

The Nasdaq fell victim to yet more selling Tuesday and kicked off the new
trading year with a bruising 7% loss. Integrated oils were the day’s top sector
while Internets were the weakest.

At the close, the VIX was up 3.98 to 34.21.

The OEX January 700 calls fell 4.20 to 5.70.
