New Records Set By Major U.S. Indices

The major U.S. indices staged a late day
rally to finish the day and the week in the green.  Energy made a comeback
helping boost the indices with Exxon Mobil

The gains by oil service stocks come as
the price of oil is regaining some ground after ending the previous session at
its lowest closing level since May of 2005. Crude for February delivery closed
up 2.1% to $52.99 a barrel.

Gold stocks posted strong gains today,
contributing to a 3.2 percent gain by the Amex Gold Bugs Index. The strength
among gold stocks comes as gold for February delivery closed up $135.60 at
$619.50 an ounce.
