This Week’s Most Requested PowerRatings Stocks

Today’s
Power
Ratings
article will look at our
Most Requested PowerRatings.  PowerRatings users are always on the edge
of what’s moving in the stock markets and this list is no exception.
PowerRatings are updated each day after the market close, so the below
PowerRatings are from yesterday.  Some of the stocks below have made major
moves in today’s session.

PowerRatings performance shows the returns versus
the S&P 500 for the equivalent 5-day hold. The stocks which have had a PowerRating of 8 have outperformed the S&P 500 index on average over the next 5
days by an 5.8-1 margin. Stocks with a PowerRating of 9 have outperformed by a
10.1-1 margin. Stocks with a PowerRating of 10 have outperformed the S&P by
nearly 14.7-1 margin. This potential edge opens up a number of possibilities for
your trading and investing.

One more interesting fact about the
PowerRatings; PowerRatings of 1 and 2 have on average lost money over the next
week. A PowerRating of 1 has underperformed the S&P 500 by a 5-1 margin.
Obviously, you should ideally be looking to be buying high PowerRating stocks
and avoid (or short) low PowerRatings stocks.

This is the highest PowerRated stock on the list and
for traders who can handle the wide swings for low priced stocks HTI should
definitely be kept on your watch list.  HTI has recently made a new
all-time high on 12/22/2006 at $8.70 and is pulling back offering a potential
entry.

AAPL is near its all-time intraday high of $93.15
set back on 11/29/2006.  The PowerRating of 4 combined with the huge run
yesterday would make us cautious of this stock.

Research In Motion

RIMM |

gained the largest PowerRatings up move.  RIMM has been in a strong
uptrend, trading above its 200-day moving average since 8/10/2006.
Continue to watch the PowerRatings for RIMM for a potential entry in the next
few days.
