Leaning Green
Following the Dow’s first sub-10,000 close since October, stocks are getting
a boost Thursday and are set for a strong open. Weekly jobless claims came in at
375,000, matching last week’s revised number and lending credence to the case
for a 75 basis point Fed rate cut.
The Dow futures are up 80 points, and the Nasdaq futures are up 52 points.
The S&Ps look to open up 10.80 points while the yield on the 10-year
Treasury is holding at 4.85%.
