Old Economy Gains
Investors on Friday moved into
broker-dealer and Old Economy stocks, biotechs enjoyed a bounce, and despite
good inflation news, gold stocks made gains.
The Dow rose 119.04 points, or 1.1%,
to 11027.80. The Nasdaq gained 29.48 points, or 0.8%, to 3789.47.
