A day of contracting volatility in the S&P market, which is currently trading at 1164.
S&Ps have been stuck for much of the mid-morning in a range between 1168 and 1161. The market has been getting a boost from the Dow, which is the strength leader.
Overall, though, the market is thin and Locally dominated. Very little activity seen thus far today from the Institutions.
NASDAQ is similiarly quiet today, trading at 1734. Very little interest seen in the long or short side. Session low at 1729, and thus far, the market has not bee able to break down any further.
Earlier, the gap was filled at 1734. Good two-sided volume was seen in the first hour between 1740 and 1746. We expect this will be stiff resistance for the session.
