Active After-Hours Session For This Nasdaq Stock
The market was lower
Thursday, with the Nasdaq at the lows for the year and the Dow — in
its worst day since March — closed under 10,000. Higher oil prices continue to
be the main concern and focus. In addition, investors are cautious ahead of
tomorrow’s economic report. The Russian government revoked a permit that would
have allowed oil company Yukos to use its bank accounts to finance operations;
just yesterday permission was granted. Crude oil rose almost 4%.
July retail same store sales met expectations for the most part although the
retail sector lost 2.5% today.
Google may have illegally given millions
of shares of stock to employees and consultants. The company has offered to
repurchase the 23 million shares for $25.9 million.
