“Helping traders overcome fears and emotions in trading” is the project of trader Corey Rosenbloom whose website and blog, afraidtotrade.com is an interesting new resource for traders from a variety of disciplines and strategies. Drawing upon his own experience as an investor and trader over the past decade-plus – as well as the observations and insights gleaned from a Hall of Fame like gallery of professional traders and technical analysts from Martin Pring and John Murphy to Linda Bradford Raschke and Dr. Brett Steenbarger – Rosenbloom’s project is designed to help traders develop a more disciplined, structured and professional approach to trading and investing.
In the first part of our conversation with Corey Rosenbloom discusses his background as a young investor and how he began to embrace shorter and shorter time frames in the wake of the dot.com crash. Rosenbloom candidly shares with us his own evolution as a trader – from his early “no indicator left behind” approach to analyzing market behavior to market neutral and sector rotation strategies to his most recent endeavors as an intraday trader who relies on what he calls a “confluence across non-correlated markets” in order to hone in on the best trading opportunities of the day.
