Bulls Push Indices Higher
U.S. stocks bounced back to close in
the green. The bulls staged a strong recovery after the Dow
briefly went below 12,000.
The Nasdaq Composite led the major
averages in today’s session, gaining 0.9%. Top gainers
included truck maker Paccar Inc.

Crude for April delivery rose
0.4% to $58.17 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, as
traders shrugged off an energy inventories report and looked ahead
to Thursday’s OPEC meeting. Gold futures
closed lower for fourth straight session down 1.1% to $64250 an
ounce.
Around Europe, the U.K.’s
FTSE index slipped 2.61% to 6,000.70, while France’s CAC 40 index
fell 2.52% to 5,296.22 and Germany’s DAX index dropped 2.66% to
6,447.70.
