Corning Calls Sparkle; Stocks Mixed

Following last week’s 5.5% gain, the Nasdaq continues to move higher Monday
while the Dow remains in the red. Biotechs and health care are the day’s top
sectors, while oil services and chemicals are the weakest.

At mid-day, the VIX is down .02 to 22.59.

The OEX 830 calls are down 1/8 to 3.

Looking ahead, the Consumer Price Index is due out Tuesday at 8:30 AM ET, and
analysts expect a 0.5% gain.
