Did You Go Short Thursday At The Open? Unfortunately, These Guys Did…

The bombings in London
were a shock to the world
and a tragedy for those directly involved.
Here at TradingMarkets, our sympathies and condolences go out to the families
who lost loved ones.

As it is with most shocks, an opportunity was
created in the market. The futures were down substantially pre-open and as it
turned out the low was made on the first bar. Wall Street is all about fear and
greed. It’s those astute and agile traders who know how to capitalize on these
emotions that make the most money. Larry Connors has talked about this–so has

Kevin Haggerty
. It’s usually the case that the best trades are the ones that
are the hardest to take. Things look bad, real bad. Lots of people are selling.
You just might want to consider buying.

One more thing: I was surfing the Web a little
today and saw that one site issued a sell on the open on Thursday. As of Friday
at Noon, the position was still open–short. Not going to say who it was, but
just realize that there is a natural tendency for traders to do things like
this. Most people are like

this guy
. Here are some ways you can learn to "cure" this tendency:

If You Trade Options…

Try the

TradingMarkets Professional Options Trading College.

If You Day Trade…

…the

Alvarez Factor
could
potentially really improve your trading!

If You Swing Trade…
