Dow and S&P Set New Record Highs
Stocks remained upbeat through Friday’s session
with the Dow and S&P indices hitting new records today.Â
Investors cheered reports that showed an increase in job numbers
and manufacturing data.
June crude futures gained 1.7% to $65.08 per barrel. Gold
futures for August delivery closed higher by 1.5% to $676.90 an ounce.
Around Europe, Germany’s DAX Index
rose 1.33% to 7,987.85, France’s CAC 40 Index added 1.05% to
6,168.15, and Britain’s FTSE 100 Index gained 0.8% to 6,676.70.
