Energies Stage 3-Day Rally

Earlier this week TradingMarkets.com published new
research on what the month of December is likely to have in store for the
stock market. Our research, titled “
Will
December Be Up Or Down?
” showed some interesting results when comparing
all Decembers with those that have followed a market that is up after the first
11-months (as it is this year).

The much anticipated November
Employment report came out virtually in-line with expectations (
report).

Comments made today by Alan Greenspan (report),
President Bush and John Snow can be found in
our
Economic
News
section.

The US Dollar Index closed fractionally higher,
Treasuries were flat.

Energy was the biggest mover today and once again
it was to the upside. The 3-day rally has been driven in part by colder weather,
strong economic numbers and the oversold technical condition.

Gold hit a fresh 22-year high today.
