Energy Prices Continue To Fall

Crude Oil declined for the fourth consecutive day,
while Unleaded Gasoline and Heating Oil fell for the third consecutive day,
driven in part by forecasts of warmer weather over the coming days across much
of the US. Natural Gas was the odd one out, posting an impressive gain.

With no economic news released today Treasuries experienced a low volatility
session ahead of tomorrow’s PPI data. However, the yield curve inverted earlier
today for the first time since 2001 when yields on the 2yr T-Note moved above
yields on the 5-yr T-Note.

The US Dollar recorded its’ strongest day in more than 2-week versus the
Japanese Yen, reacting to last week’s 4% decline.

The metals were also relatively quiet ahead of the inflation report.

The grains were strong today, especially Soybeans which is challenging the
resistance at the highs set in October and November. Among the softs, Sugar hit
another new contract/multi-year high.
