Let’s take a look at ERTS:
The fact that the stock gapped up should
automatically get the stock put on your intraday watch list. After the usual
pullback (I say usual because this is often the case 20 to 30 minutes into the
session), the stock hits the prior close and bounces for a nice rally. (Haggerty
calls the pair of reversal bars at 9:55-10:00 “Kings and Queens".) A gap (in either direction) means a stock is trying to get
somewhere in a hurry and that there is higher volatility, which is great for
traders.
