Hold Out Or Sit Out

The major indices took
another hit,
but
volume came in
very light as we approach the holiday season.

Leading stocks acted better than the overall
market, as a few names posted small gains.

bounced from its
recent sell-off. Volume was light and not a good sign for a
quick recovery.

regained its 50-day moving average
on above-average
trade. Unfortunately, it still has to absorb what appears to
be heavy selling left over
from 11/14.

also made a nice bounce on heavier
volume

has been quiet for some
time, but felt the need to attempt a breakout today. Volume
was heavy, but still no match for the listless
market conditions as the stock was unable to succeed.

With
volume coming in so light, it still appears
that this market may be subject to a further correction and/or consolidation. For
now, either holding out for higher prices or sitting on the sidelines is
probably the most appropriate thing to do.

Hope to see you at the
