Look For Earnings From These Companies After The Close…

Stocks are higher
as oil is retreating off a new high
after
Al Sadr agreed to lay down arms in Najaf. OPEC is raising its demand forecast,
and said that higher oil prices had little impact on world economic growth.
Crude inventories fell by 1.3 million barrels. Estimates for S&P 500 earnings
for Q3 are for +14.8% gains; the tech index, however, estimates are +34%, down
from 38% in July

Google cut its IPO price from $108 – $135
to $85 -$85. The company will also cut the number of shares being offered by
shareholders — to 5.5 million from 12 million. The company asked the SEC to
declare its registration effective as of today at 4:00 PM ET, a day later than
originally planned.

After the close, look for earnings from HOTT
(0.10), INTU (-0.07), PETC (0.29) and SNPS (0.32) — estimates are in
parentheses.

Look for the book to bill number on Thursday.
