is set to report its Q3 results after the bell tonight. There are no analyst estimates on Thomson Financial.

MRVC shows a widening share pattern from post-earnings evening trading to the following day’s regular session for more than half of the quarters we’ve tracked. The near-term trend shows three instances of narrowing or reversing its share move the next day.

On July 29, 2008, MRVC advanced 5.8% in after-hours trade after reporting revenue up over year ago levels. It advanced further the next day, rising 14.2% in the July 30 regular session.

On April 30, 2008, the stock gained 5.1% during evening trading after revenue topped the year-ago period. The gain dwindled to 1.9% by the next day’s closing bell.

On Feb. 28, 2008, MRVC advanced 3.6% in after-hours trade after beating sales expectations but also swinging to a loss. It saw that gain evaporate in the Feb. 29 regular session, with the stock ending the day down 2.4%.

On Nov. 8, 2007, the stock fell 5.4% in evening trading after MRVC meets sales estimates though swings to a loss. The stock fell 4.2% the next day.

On July 25, 2007, MRVC ended the night session flat after topping Q2 sales estimates and forecasting Q3 sales above Street views. Shares, though, slid the next day to close the regular session down 5.7%.

On April 25, 2007, the stock fell 1.8% after reporting in line with EPS. The loss was a deeper 5.3% the next day.

On Feb. 15, 2007, the stock slipped a slender 0.4% in night trade after beating with revenue, meeting with EPS and offering guidance that was largely in line. The loss was a slightly deeper 0.7% the next day.
