is due to report Q4 results after the bell tonight, and analysts polled by Thomson Financial are looking for a profit of $0.03 per share on revenue of $36 million.

SNIC should be an interesting stock to watch tonight as it had been a consistent and decisively wider mover between the bells, changing that tendency only five times in the 14 quarters we’ve tracked. Near term, however, the stock is mixed, with two narrowing and two widening moves in the last four quarters.

On Feb. 26, 2008, SNIC slipped 1.3% in after-hours trade after topping Q3 expectations but also setting its Q4 outlook below the Street view. The stock turned to the plus-side the following day, rising 13.8% by the Feb. 27 close.

On Nov. 27, 2007, the stock tumbled 13.7% during evening trading after SNIC reported in line with revenue but offered guidance for Q3 that missed. The loss was nearly halved, to 7.2% the next day.

On Aug. 23, 2007, the stock dropped 14.4% in evening trading after SNIC reported shy with revenue and guided below the Street. The loss cratered to 25% the next day.

On May 17, 2007, shares fell 6.3% in the evening session after the company reported in line with Q4 revenue but guided for Q1 revs to miss. The loss fattened to 9.6% the next day.

On Feb. 15, 2007, the stock fell 3.3% after SNIC reported revenues shy of the Street. The loss expanded to 8.3% the next day.
