Quantitative Trading and ETF PowerRatings

September 30, 2009 by Larry Connors

Recently, I got a chance to interview Rishi Narang, the author of Inside the Black Box: The Simple Truth About Quantitative Trading. If you had not read this book, you should. I mentioned it a few weeks ago and it’s the best book in describing what quantitative trading is and how to put together models. The book is well written and simple to understand. I’ll be publishing the interview here in the Trading Lesson of the Day within the next few weeks. I learned a lot from speaking with Rishi and I’m sure you will too. He was very insightful and a pleasure to speak with.

Over the past 5 years, our PowerRatings for Stocks has been the single most popular subscription service among traders. Now we’ve released ETF PowerRatings which rates each ETF on a scale of 1-10 each day.

The highest rated ETFs (those rated 9 and 10) have risen in price approximately 80% of the time over the short term, while the lowest rated ETFs (those rated 1) have dropped in price almost 80% of the time (you will want to avoid and possibly short these low rated ETFs).

If you would like more information on our new ETF PowerRatings, you can call toll free 1 888- 484-8220 ext. 1 for a demo or click here for more information.
