Say What?
I
don’t know what you call today. Maybe a line in the
sand … maybe selling exhaustion … maybe the markets tired of going down … or
maybe big Al Greenspan talking the talk. In case you didn’t hear him, don’t
worry. I couldn’t understand anything he was saying.
It goes something like this: “The edification of the approximation doesn’t
equal the ventricular activity. But if the economy is flat, then maybe it is
flat but could possibly not be flat. Inflation is not around the corner but
certainly could be and we have to be vigilant about it. But if inflation doesn’t
show, then maybe, just maybe, the markets could circle around and maybe go up or
down. But if the common denominator of the certifiable is equal to the e=mcx2,
then and only then will the Cubs win the World Series.”
I swear that’s what he said. Ask anyone. In any case, whatever he said got the
markets to the upside in the last 90 minutes.
