Stocks Finish Mixed After Fed Decision

Stocks finished mixed Thursday after the Fed decided to keep rates
steady at 5.25%.  Federal reserve members decided to drop the
reference to ‘elevated’ core inflation.

Crude oil futures for August delivery added
0.9% to $69.60 per barrel.  Gold
futures for August delivery rose 0.9% to
$650.40 an ounce.


Around Europe, Germany’s DAX index rallied 1.5% to 7,921.3,
France’s CAC 40 rose 1.1% to 6,006.31, and Britain’s FTSE 100
added 0.7% to 6,571.30.
