Stocks Mixed Mid-Session

Stocks are mixed Friday, with the
Nasdaq weighed down by disappointing guidance from Dell.
A
wider-than-expected trade deficit and record high oil prices are tempering gains
in the Dow.

The trade deficit for June widened to $58.8 billion vs $55.35 billion
in May.

Dell (DELL)
reported record Q2 earnings, in-line at 0.38/share. Net income was $1.02
billion. Revenue was $13.4 billion, slightly lower than expected. The stock
traded lower after hours. Goldman downgraded the stock to in-line.
