Stocks Rise as Yields Fall and Retail Data Shows Strength

The major indices are all trading higher this
morning after bond yields retreat and strong retail sales data
lift investors view of the U.S. economy.

Around Asia, Shanghai’s Composite Index rose 2.6% to close at
4,176.48, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng lost 0.3% to 20,578.75, and
Tokyo’s Nikkei fell 0.2% to 17,732.77.
