I was in TradersWire
today, trying to keep up with some of the terrific traders in there
and got into a conversation about setups and trading in general. Without going
into unnecessary detail, I was getting pretty passionate about learning how
to trade. It’s important. I mean, think about it, anybody who
is any good at anything spent a fair amount of time learning. Actors or
bands which are billed in the media as “overnight” successes …really
aren’t. Lots of hard work went into it, I promise you. Anybody in any of
the trades spends plenty of time as an apprentice. Take electricians, for
instance. It takes time to learn everything you need to know to do the job
correctly every time — and done so you don’t get yourself
fried while doing it. Physician. There’s
a job that takes some time to learn. Yeah, they get paid the big bucks, but
look at all the hoops they have to jump through to get there. The point? How is
trading any different? It’s not. I must tell you, whether you buy material from
TM or from somewhere else, if you’re a newer trader, just make sure you put in
the work and hard study so you don’t get your you-know-what handed to you in
the market. I must tell you, TradersWire has some excellent traders
posting, and there is a wealth of information to be had in that room every day.

I don’t know if you heard the conference call
with John Carter last week, but if you did you’ll remember he covered a
lot of important points and gave out a lot of good trading information.
Hubert Senters was on the call too, and he made some outstanding points as well.
