Sellers and buyers fought to a draw at midweek, with the most aggressive selling taking the form of short-term profit-taking in energy ETFs like the ^IYE^. Pulling back after closing higher for six consecutive days was the ^DIG^.

Gold-related ETFs continued to gain, with the ^GLD^ – noted in yesterday’s 7 ETFs You Need to Know – up well over 1%.

Here are 7 ETFs You Need to Know for Thursday.

Among the exchange-traded funds taking top ETF PowerRatings into trading on Thursday are the ^XLV^ and the ^PPH^. Both funds earned ETF PowerRatings upgrades into the “consider buying” range of 8 or higher.

The ^DZZ^ is among the highest rated, leveraged ETFs, closing at new, short-term oversold lows on Wednesday.

Gains in gold have helped leveraged ETFs like the ^UGL^ and the ^DGP^ earn major Leveraged ETF PowerRatings downgrades during trading on Wednesday.

Earning one of the biggest ETF PowerRatings upgrades on the day was a country fund, the > ^EWL^, which gained four points to close with an ETF PowerRating of 9. Also earning the attention of high probability, PowerRatings traders on Wednesday was the four-point upgrade in the ^XLP^.
