TradingMarkets 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Friday: INTC, AA, WFMI, DE, JPM, CMG, SHLD

While most of the market was relatively mild, sellers were out in force in the gold stocks, sending shares of  ^NEM^, ^FCX^, and ^RGLD^ down by as much as 4%.

Shares of ^MRK^ plunged by more than 6% to close below their 200-day moving average for the first time in more than a month. To the upside, ^MRO^ closed higher by 6% in trading on Thursday, closing in overbought territory above the 200-day for a fifth day in a row.

Here are 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Friday.

^INTC^ reported quarterly earnings that beat analyst estimates in terms of both earnings and revenues. The stock had pulled back from overbought territory in Thursday’s trading.

Down three days in a row heading into the final trading day of the week were shares of ^AA^ (below).

Alcoa, which began the week with an upside earnings surprise, pulled back by more than 3% in trading on Thursday. Thursday’s close marked the stock’s first close in oversold territory above the 200-day moving average since mid-November.

Closing higher for a fifth consecutive trading day on Thursday were shares of ^WFMI^ (below).

WFMI gained more than 4% to close in overbought territory above the 200-day moving average for the second session in a row.

Up seven straight days – last four in overbought territory above the 200-day – were shares of  ^DE^, gaining more than 2% ahead of Friday’s open.

Scheduled to report quarterly earnings on Friday is ^JPM^. The stock, which has been trading above its 200-day moving average consistently only since mid-December, pulled back mildly in trading on Thursday.

Rallying by more than 5% after a four-day pullback were shares of ^CMG^ (below).

Buying in CMG pushed the stock back above its 5-day moving average heading into Friday’s open.

Two days in overbought territory below the 200-day moving average were enough to bring out the sellers in ^SHLD^. SHLD closed lower by more than 3% in Thursday’s trading.
