Stocks closed modestly higher in very light post holiday
trading. With all the major exchanges either closed or closing early most
traders chose to take a 4-day holiday weekend. Institutional activity was light
and volumes failed to hit even the usual mid-day levels by the close of today’s
session.
Today was “Black Friday” for the retailers. All the major
