TradingMarkets 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Tuesday: DIS, JCP, FSLR, CHKP, EBAY, DVN, DELL

Stocks were off to a strong start at the beginning of the week, returning a number of stocks and indices to overbought territory above the 200-day moving average. Among the better performers on the day were ^BIG^, which soared by more than 15% and JC Penny (below), which gained well over 5%.

Here are 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Tuesday.

Reporting quarterly earnings after the bell on Tuesday is  ^DIS^. Shares of the stock have been increasingly overbought in recent days, having closed in overbought territory above the 200-day moving average for the past four consecutive trading sessions.

Shares of retailer ^JCP^ (below) soared by more than 5% on Monday. The stock is up two in a row after a five-day pullback that took the stock into oversold territory late last week.

The rally in JCP puts the stock at its highest closing level of the year and back into overbought territory above the 200-day.

Two day pullbacks in both ^FSLR^ and ^CHKP^ were enough to bring out the buyers on Monday.  FLSR gained more than 1% before pulling back.  CHKP closed higher more than 3%.

Closing higher for six trading days in a row on Monday were shares of ^EBAY^ (below).

Shares of EBAY have spent the past four consecutive days in overbought territory above the 200-day. Current conditions in eBay are the most short-term overbought since October 2010.

Down well over 1% and closing lower for a third day in a row on Monday was ^DVN^ (below).

The pullback in DVN puts the stock in oversold territory above the 200-day moving average. Monday’s oversold close was the stock’s first since rallying above its 200-day back in November 2010.

Shares of ^DELL^ closed higher again on Monday and are increasingly overbought above the 200-day. The stock has closed higher for six straight sessions, the last three in overbought territory.
