TradingMarkets 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Wednesday: INTC, YHOO, GS, AXP, ETFC, BA, SBUX

The market indices were little changed in trading on Tuesday as buyers continued to move into technology and sellers resumed their offensive among financial stocks. Selling in financials took a number of stocks in this group below their 200-day moving averages on Tuesday, including  ^BAC^ and  ^RF^.

Here are 7 Stocks You Need to Know for Wednesday.

Buyers continued to push a number of technology stocks higher heading into the middle of the week. Shares of ^INTC^ rallied again on Tuesday, closing higher for a second session after a three-day pullback into oversold territory.

Shares of ^YHOO^ reversed back to the downside on Tuesday ahead of the stock’s scheduled quarterly earnings announcement after the close. Yahoo! reported earnings that beat analyst expections, but was down initially in the aftermarket.

Financial stocks were the primary target of sellers on Tuesday. Closing lower above the 200-day moving average were both ^MS^ and ^GS^ (below).

Shares of Goldman Sachs had moved sideways for the past four trading days before Tuesday’s sell-off which took the stock down by more than 2%.

Also off more than 2% and moving toward oversold territory above the 200-day moving average were shares of ^AXP^.

Extremely oversold above the 200-day moving average going into trading on Wednesday were shares of ^ETFC^ (below).

ETFC has closed lower for six consecutive trading days. The company is scheduled to report earnings Wednesday evening after the market closes.

Shares of  ^BA^ were little changed ahead of the company’s scheduled quarterly earnings announcement Wednesday before the market opens.

In contrast to E Trade’s exceptionally oversold conditions, ^SBUX^ (below) is exceptionally overbought ahead of its Wednesday earnings report.

Starbucks has closed higher for eight days in a row, with six of those last closes in overbought territory above the 200-day.
