TradingMarkets Mid-Day Movers

Stocks started the week on a positive note with all the major
indices opening higher.
Hurricane Wilma made landfall as a category-2 storm. Oil
and gas installations in the Gulf of Mexico were spared but as the storm moves
through Florida the main concern is centered on possible damage to orange
growers.

In the past few minutes President Bush named Ben Bernanke as
the new chairman of the Federal Reserve. Stocks extended their gains immediately
after the news broke. The US Dollar Index is trading lower, along with with
treasuries. Energy futures are trading lower.
