TradingMarkets Mid-Day Movers
Stocks are trading mixed in very
light post-holiday trading. The NYSE closes early today, along with
the CME and CBOT, while NYMEX and the NYBOT are closed. No economic news is set
to be released today either.
However, a keen eye is on the retailers with today being
“Black Friday” and the start of the holiday shopping season.
Stocks On The Move
Teva
Pharmaceuticals (TEVA)
announced that it has fully drawn down on a $350 Mln multicurrency term loan
facility established in September 2005 with a syndicate of banks (full
story). TASER International (TASRE)
announced that due to the delay in the filing of its Form 10-Q for the period
ended September 30, 2005, it has received a letter from the NASDAQ Stock Market
indicating that its common stock is subject to delisting (full
story). NorthWestern Corp. (NWEC)
announced that it has received a request from Black Hills Corp. to commence
negotiations of a strategic merger between the 2 companies (more).
Offshore Logistics (OLG)
announced that it will restate financial results for fiscal years 2000, 2001,
2002, 2003 and 2004 and for quarterly periods in fiscal year 2005, and its
results for fiscal year 2005 (more).
XL Capital (XL)
announced that it had received a draft actuarial report from the Independent
Actuary in connection with its acquisition of certain Winterthur International
insurance operations from Winterthur Swiss Insurance in 2001 (more).
