The major averages are trading
slightly lower today, adding to yesterday’s losses. The market was
hit by a triple whammy of inflation worries, Fed talk of higher interest rates
and disappointing earnings by Intel

enough, traders awoke to the news that hurricane Wilma has strengthened form a
category 1 to a category 5 storm overnight. Florida and the Gulf of Mexico is on
high alert.
The EIA released its weekly Petroleum Status Report earlier
today which showed that Crude Oil inventories and Gasoline inventories were up
5.6 Mln and 2.9 Mln barrels respectively (more).
Oil and gas futures are all trading lower following the report.
The US Dollar Index is also lower today, while treasuries are
higher.
