TradingMarkets Mid-Day Movers
After seeing some early strength, the U.S.
stock markets have seen some further upside over the course of morning trading
on Wednesday. The major averages have all moved firmly in positive territory,
with the Nasdaq outperforming the Dow and the S&P 500.

6.75% respectively. Both companies reported yesterday after the close.
After showing a strong upward move in the
previous session, the price of oil is giving back some ground in morning trading
on Wednesday. Crude for March delivery is currently down $0.88 at $54.16 a
barrel after ending Tuesday’s trading up more than $2 a barrel.
The price of gold is moving lower in
morning trading, as traders are doing some profit taking following the strong
upward move that was seen in the previous session. After ending Tuesday’s
trading up nearly $12 an ounce, gold for February delivery is down $4.90 at $641
an ounce.
