TradingMarkets Mid-Day Movers

The major averages are currently holding near
their highs of the morning with the Dow gaining triple digits
earlier in the session.  Today’s strong rally extends the
positive move in the Asian markets.

Crude prices are trading
fractionally higher this morning currently at $60.00 per barrel
despite rising earlier on forecasts for frigid weather throughout
the Northeastern U.S.

Gold futures are trading higher by 1%
to $644.20 an ounce.

Some positive regional
factors led to buying and helped the Asian markets to finish in
the green on Tuesday.  Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index charged
ahead by 2.1%, the Shanghai Composite gained 2%, and Tokyo’s
Nikkei charged higher by 1.22%.
