Dual VIX Signals

Dual VIX Signals

I will delay part two of “Trading Options with the CVR Signals” (see my commentary from March 11) until Thursday, March 18 so I can share with you a somewhat rare, but solid, set-up that occurred the other day.

“Dual VIX Signals” are back-to-back CVR signals. This means, for example, that a CVR I buy signal yesterday is followed by a CVR I buy signal today. These combined signals are extremely powerful and should be watched closely.

Last Thursday, March 11, a CVR I buy signal triggered on the close, followed by a second CVR I buy signal on Friday. These consecutive signals preceded Monday’s 15-point upside move in the S&Ps and, this morning, the push through the 10,000 level in the Dow.

On the short side, a similar instance of back-to-back CVR sell signals on February 23 and 24 foreshadowed a short-term market sell-off.

Keep an eye out for these signals. In the future, I will attempt to point them out to you as they occur.

Markets To Watch: June T-bonds [USM9>USM9] are poised for a larger-than-normal move (and I suspect stocks will follow in the direction of this move).
