Euro Rebounds, Canadian Dollar Surges on Rate Talk

Euro strengthened across the board since European session on couple of factors. ECB Governing Council member Axel Weber said in an interview with the Financial Times Deutschland that the bank is prepared to shift to a restrictive monetary policy if needed to keep inflation in check.

Dollar Firmer After New Home Sales

Dollar strengthens after better than expected new homes sales report which rose 16.2% to 0.98M annualized rate in Apr, much stronger than expectation of 0.86M and being the fastest jump in 14 years.

Dollar Falls After Weak Non Farm Payroll

The jobs report released today came in weak. Non-farm payroll growth in April slowed to 88k, missing expectations of 100k and being the lowest since Nov 2004.
