At the Money

An option whose strike price is equal to the current price of the underlying stock or future.  When options are at the money, the activity for options trading is usually high.  It is one of three terms used to describe option “moneyness”, which is the relationship between the position of the current or future price of an underlying asset and the strike price.

For example, if stock XYZ is trading at 70, both the XYZ 70 call options and XYZ 70 put options are at the money.
