Flag

A short-term congestion pattern (perhaps one to three weeks on a daily chart) that appears as a small consolidation within a trend.  The upper and lower boundaries of the flag should be contained in horizontal trend lines; if the lines converge, forming a small triangle, the pattern is referred to as a “pennant“.
