Ciena Calls Fall; Stocks Sink
Stocks ended the week on a down note as recession worries shadowed over
Thursday’s big gains. Gold and silver stocks were among the day’s top sectors
while semiconductors were the weakest.
At the close, the VIX was off 1.78 to 36.76.
