The abnormal option volume alerts can often tip me off to stocks with
interesting chart patterns I would have otherwise missed. When I get the alert I
check the stock’s chart, and sometimes the patterns turn out to be very
interesting.

  • Innunomedics, Inc. (IMMU);
    The underlying stock is rallying out of a pullback and making a new high.
    There is a volume spike in the December 20 calls. IMMU is currently up 0.41 at
    19.40.

   
Abnormal Volume Relative to Open Interest

  • F5 Networks (FFIV);
    FFIV is moving to the upside out of an inverted head and shoulders. There
    is a spike in volume relative to open interest in the November 20 calls. FFIV
    is now up 1.12 at 19.09.

 

 

The stock normally runs higher for a short time before it
retraces back to the level of the breakout from the neckline. FFIV could be an
interesting stock to watch for the next few days.
