Stocks have pulled back somewhat but still look to open to the plus side
Friday following October employment numbers that held no big surprises. While
the report showed that the rate of job growth may be slowing, the unemployment
rate remains at historically low levels.
Unemployment levels held steady at 3.9%, which was slightly below the 4.0%
level analysts had expected. Average hourly wages increased 0.4%, which was in
line with expectations, and 137,000 new jobs were created, which was fewer than
the 190,000 that the Street had expected.
The Dow futures are up 25 points, and the Nasdaq futures are up 43 points.
The S&Ps look to open up 5.40 points while the yield on the 10-year
Treasury is 5.69%.
