Big Saturday Interview with Tim Wood of Cycles News & Views, Part 2
Click here to access Part 2 of our Big Saturday Interview with trader and analyst, Tim Wood of Cycles News & Views.
In the first half of our conversation with Tim Wood, we looked both at what market cycles are as well as how traders and investors can use cycles analysis to help contextualize shorter term trading strategies in a variety of markets – from stocks and bonds to commodities. Critical to Wood’s success as an analyst of cycles has been his ability to quantify markets cycles in different timeframes, from short term cycles in stocks to the powerful four-year market cycle that he used to anticipate tops in 2000 and again in 2007. This analysis was shared with subscribers to his newsletter, Cycles News & Views and website, Cyclesman.info
Here in Part 2, we talk about his other passion – Dow Theory. Rather than rely on the widely-available sources for information on Dow Theory, Tim Wood has sought out the key early writings of many major – and some forgotten – Dow Theorists like Richard Rhea and George Schaeffer – many of which have never been published. Tim Wood dispels a number of myths about Dow Theory and provides tips for traders and investors looking to add Dow Theory analysis to their own work.
