Crude Oil Rallies From 3-Month Low

Energy futures staged an intraday
reversal with early selling giving way to strong buying
as concerns
about hurricane Wilma grew during the day. Wilma is currently a category-4
hurricane. Earlier in the session crude oil hit a 3-month low. The MMS reported
a number of rigs and platforms in the Gulf of Mexico have been evacuated as the
storm nears. Currently 66% of daily oil production and 53% of daily gas
production in the region is shut-in.

The US Dollar Index closed higher, along with treasuries. Gold
jumped almost $6 higher after hitting a 1-month low yesterday.
